May 29th - Ragle Dental Laboratory 30th Anniversary Celebration!
Held at The I-Hotel Conference Center to celebrate 30 years of serving the dental community we offered an afternoon of education for dentists and their dental teams.

Some of the course options were:

Sept. 25th -Ragle 6th Annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon
Friday September 25th from 12:30 to 5:00 P.M. at a location to be announced. This will be an afternoon of fun and education to celebrate the staff of our best customers. The entire dental office is invited. Mark your calendars now for our sixth annual appreciation luncheon and fashion show. We are working on offering more CE credit for this course due to the absence of Carle Foundation Dentistry Day. Registration fee will be determined and this seminar will be worth 5 CE credits. Please join us for this appreciation lunch and education.

2008 Events

April 3rd - Astra Tech Computer Guided Implant Treatment Seminar
Thursday April 3rd from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. Improve Communication and Accuracy with Computer Guided Implant Treatment. Enhance interactive communication with the entire implant team by planning implant placement and optimizing abutment selection for predictable results. Facilitate™ is based on SimPlant™ software from Materialise™ that provides high precision, three-dimensional computer based diagnostics and precise treatment. The software is specially customized for Astra Tech and allows for use of a wide selection of implants and abutments with an internal “library” of virtual implants from all major manufacturers. Costs may be lowered by shortening chair-time, especially with immediate loading scenarios. Patients’ safety can be increased due to predictable outcomes. May 30th - Ragle Dental Laboratory 29th Anniversary Celebration!
Held at The Round Barn Banquet Center from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Join us as Dr. Mark Murphy presents “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Dental Practices”. This presentation is appropriate for an audience composed of doctors and their staff. Mark will speak with passion about the seven qualities effective dental teams possess and how these qualities develop behavioral habits that you, too, may achieve with your practice team. You will hear persuasive and engaging accounts of the difference these habits made in his own practice. In addition to a full day of great education we will be giving away a travel voucher worth $2000 to one of our best customers! September 26 - Ragle 5th Annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon and Fashion Show
This will be an afternoon of fun and education to celebrate the staff of our best customers. The entire dental office is invited. Mark your calendars now for our fifth annual appreciation luncheon and fashion show. The details are still in the planning stages but since it is our fifth year we will have to do something special right! The focus this year will be around women’s health and how good dental hygiene has an impact. Also, we will focus on the top women’s health issues and how we can do our part in helping our patient’s stay aware. Registration fee is $20 and this seminar will be worth 3 CE credits.

2007 Events

September 12th - “Innovations in Implant Therapy” Ragle Dental Lab teams up with Biomet 3i™ to present Dr. Robert Blackwell. Learn how surface technology improves healing times, the concept of platform switching and how it can be used to preserve bone around implants and be introduced to the concept of CT Surgical Guidance. Join us at The Great Impasta on Wednesday night from 6 to 8:30 P.M. Dinner is paid for by Biomet 3i™. R.S.V.P. by September 6th. Seminar worth 2 CE Credits.

September 20th - “Digital Impressions” Ragle Dental Lab has partnered up with Cadent to host a dinner and seminar for Dentists and Dental Assistants covering the topic of digital impressions. How do they work, how do you transition to digital and what is the learning curve? Thursday September 20th at The Great Impasta from 6 until 8:00 P.M. Dinner and seminar are paid for by Ragle and Cadent. R.S.V.P. by September 10th. Seminar worth 2 CE credits.

September 28th - “Staff Appreciation Lunch and Seminar” Sponsored by Ragle and Zimmer Dental. Join us for our fourth annual staff appreciation lunch and fashion show! Be thinking about who will be the fashion show model from your office! This year’s seminar is a general knowledge implant course enhanced by two presenters Heidi DuBois-Robinson, RDH and Corrine Woodworth, RDH. This course will cover many topics including the benefits of implant therapy, the history and development of implants, the risks of non-treatment, patient selection process, site selection, surgical placement, surgical stents, final restoration, patient and professional maintenance, success rates, ailing and failing implants, financial considerations and role playing. Held at The Great Impasta from 12:30 to 4:30 P.M. Lunch and seminar fee is $20 per person. R.S.V.P. by September 17th. Seminar worth 3 CE Credits.

October 25th - “Atlantis Components Custom Abutments” It has been over a year since Ragle adopted Atlantis Custom Abutments as our abutment of choice. Join us for a refresher course and see why. Also, have your implant questions answered by Fred Senne from Atlantis and Jerry Ragle. Held at The Great Impasta from 6 to 8:30 P.M. Dinner and drinks provided by Atlantis Components and Ragle Dental Lab. Seminar worth 2 CE Credits.

January 24 - Join us for the first Ragle sponsored seminar in 2007. Wednesday evening January 24th from 5:30 to 8:00 at The Urbana Golf & Country Club. Laboratory Materials and Processes presented by Jerry Ragle, CDT and Nick Ragle, Fixed Manager. Also, Cementation presented by Lisa Michalak, Territory Sales Manager, Ivoclar/Vivadent.

March 30th - “Evidenced Based Patient Solutions” Ragle Dental Lab has partnered up with Procter & Gamble to host a lunch & learn for Dentists, Hygienists and Dental Assistants. During this lunch and learn a Dental Hygiene Educator from Crest/Oral-B will show how choosing products for your patients can be based on scientific evidence. There are so many different products on the market which ones should you be recommending to which patients? Friday March 30th at The Great Impasta from Noon until 2:00 P.M. Lunch and seminar are paid for by Ragle and Procter & Gamble. R.S.V.P. by March 15th.

May 3rd - “Premium Dentures” Ragle Dental Lab launches a new Cosmetic Denture in Spring 2007. Join us on Thursday evening May 3rd as Dennis Purinton from Vident shows us the materials and process involved in making a premium denture. What makes it premium? Held at The Great Impasta from 6:00 to 8:30 P.M. Dinner and drinks are paid for by Ragle & Vident. R.S.V.P. by April 27th.

June 1st - “Ragle Anniversary” In celebration of our 28th Anniversary we present a day full of education and vendor surfing. This year we plan on having three speakers to cover the topics of relationship building, up-selling to your patients and the latest and greatest equipment, materials and restorations available in 2007. Please mark your calendars now. This is the biggest event of the spring season where we spend a lot of time planning. The vendors come from all over just to set up a booth and get a chance to see all of you. Champaign Country Club, 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Friday June 1st. Don’t miss it!

2006 Events

October 6th - Ragle/Zimmer 3rd Annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon
Held at The Urbana Golf & Country Club from 12:30 to 4:30 P.M. A luncheon celebration to show our appreciation for the staff of our best customers. This event is for Hygienists, Assistants and Office Personnel of Ragle Dental Laboratory customers and is sponsored by Ragle Dental Laboratory and Zimmer Dental. This year we will continue with the tradition of a lunch buffet and the scrubs fashion show, oh what fun! Our featured speaker Lynn Mortilla will be presenting ADIA Implant Team Training which will be worth 3 CE credits. This comprehensive program will provide an informative overview of dental implantology. The program covers surgical, prosthetic and maintenance considerations as well as reviewing treatment planning for implant patients and provide the entire team with the verbal and interdisciplinary skills needed to effectively work with implant patients. There is a small registration fee of $10 per person and we need volunteer fashion show models.

October 26th - Astra Tech Implant Seminar
Held at The Great Impasta in Champaign from 6 to 8 P.M. Join us as Dr. Richard Jones of Munster, Indiana explores the latest developments in implant treatment. November 3rd - Carle Foundation Day Dentistry Program
Held at The Forum at Carle in Urbana from 7:30 A.M. to 4 P.M. Join us for the 20th year of this annual event where you will hear from seven different speakers on OMFS Updates, Dental Malpractice, What’s new in Endodontics, Oral Pathology and The Future of Digital Impressions.

Speaker line up: Dr. Josh Leal, Dr. Steven Holm, Dr. Jay Znaniecki, Dr. Paul Sahni, Dr. Heath Grote, Dr. Don-John Summerlin and Norbert Ulmer from Sirona Dental.

Vendor Exhibit line up: Atlantis, Nobel Biocare, Zimmer Dental, Oral-B/Crest, Astra Tech, Sirona, Patterson Dental and Carle Wound Center. Registration will be sent in the mail from Carle Foundation Hospital/Carle Clinic.

March 30th - Impressions are Like Gold seminar
Held at Ragle Lab in Champaign from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. We will be showing different types of impression material, discussing some of the pit falls involved in taking impressions and highlighting the important features the Lab looks for in a good impression. We will show examples of outstanding impressions and some impressions that are extremely difficult to work with. View photos
     

  April 7th or 8th - Hands on Digital Photography
presented by the professionals at Clear Match. This seminar is for Doctors and their assistant. We need the entire four hour time slot to cover everything you ever wanted to know about clinical photography. You will be taking pictures with the cameras available or you can bring your own digital camera to use. This course normally would cost you $800 but because you are going through Ragle Lab your cost is reduced to $200 for the two of you. The April 7th course will be held from 4:00 pm -8:00 pm and April 8th will be held from 8:00 am -12:00 pm. View photos
     
    May 6th - Ragle/Captek Seminar/Golf Outing
Doctors only. This all day event at Urbana Golf & Country Club will be sponsored by Ragle and Captek and will run from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm. We will begin at 7:30 am with Dean Mersky DDS as the featured speaker. We will provide lunch and then enjoy a round of golf beginning at 1:00. For those of you who just want to come to the meeting there will be CE credits given and you are welcome to leave after the speaker. Those of you who enjoy golf we are looking forward to your involvement in the fun afternoon! There is a registration fee of $20 for the meeting and $40 for the meeting and golf.
     

  June 10th - Ragle All Day Anniversary Celebration!

    September 30th - Ragle/Zimmer Annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon. 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm. Yes we are having it again! A luncheon celebration to show our appreciation for the staff of our best customers. This event is for Hygienists, Assistants and Office staff. The details of the event are still in the planning stages but we know the event will offer a larger educational opportunity that will be worth more CE credits. Therefore we have a small registration fee of $10 per person. Please mark your calendars especially if you missed this event last year. You will not want to miss this one!

    November 4th - Carle Foundation Day
This annual event gets better and better every year. We are currently in the planning stages for this 19th year. We know it will continue to be an all day event beginning at 8:00 am. Depending on the funding received we will continue to charge a registration fee but do not know that amount at this time. Carle Foundation Hospital and Ragle will keep the fee as low as possible. We rely on your attendance to keep this event successful. More details will be coming closer to the event.

    November 17th - Implants Seminar.
At Ragle Lab from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm. For those of you who joined us in November 2004 for the "Hands on Implants" this is a great follow-up session. Dr. Greg Martin and Dr. Steve Sabol will be sharing a documented Atlantis case. There will be a questions and answers session following the case review.
