Ragle Custom Case Process
As a production laboratory we work on tight time schedules, incent
our employees to produce quality work quickly, and for the most part this
is exactly what our customer’s desire. However, in the past two years
we have seen a large influx in the requests for custom work. At first we
tried to produce this high quality, time consuming product on the same time
schedule as everything else but, we have since found time is the enemy. We
love doing custom work but, simply put, we need more time.
Custom cases are
defined as all porcelain (and Zirconia or YZ™), porcelain
fused to metal or Captek cases where a custom shade is requested or the
case is 6 units or more.
A custom shade is defined as a shade request outside
of the normal “shade
guide” specifications. Custom Shades require quality photos. If
you can provide quality Clear Match™ photos please send them in

If
you do not have a digital camera we can provide the quality photos
through our Custom Shade Service. For the Custom Shade Service we require
the patient
to make an appointment to come to the lab for this photo session. The
case invoice will reflect the fee for this service.
Custom Case Scheduling
Process
- Call Ragle Dental Laboratory before
scheduling the patient for seating appointment. We will give
you the estimated date
of delivery so scheduling the patient’s return appointment
can occur at this time. We look at how many custom cases are
currently
in the lab,
how difficult your case may be or how large the case is to
determine how much time is needed to complete.
- Determine if
you will be sending Clear Match™ photos
or if you want the Ragle Custom Shade Service.
- If using Ragle
Custom Shade Service, schedule patients shade check appointment
with Ragle.
- Send case to Ragle Dental Laboratory complete
with stump shade and photos or a date as to when photos will be
received. If using
Ragle’s
Shade service we will provide the photos.
- Once case
is delivered try it in before cementing or bonding.
If you are not completely satisfied call
us. We
will make
time to have the patient
come
over to the lab so we can make minor adjustments
if needed and then send them back to your office for seating.
- Once seated
please take a final picture. So often we have pictures documenting the
case from beginning
to delivery
and seldom receive
a final picture
in the mouth. If you e-mail us the picture we will
keep a
photo gallery of all
