Why Go Digital?
Fact One:
Most dentists believe they send in what appears
to be an “adequate” impression.
- 54% of all impressions received in our laboratory have
some sort of defect due to the material and/or technique. 10% of impressions
received are returned for a new impression.
Solution: iTero digital impressions are 100% accurate and guaranteed.

Fact Two:
Most dentists believe that they have prepared the occulsal surface
with adequate reduction.
- 33% of all cases received have less than adequate reduction therefore opposing relief is made and stamped clearly on the check out sheet along with a reduction notice tag for shipping or a reduction coping is fabricated at an additional cost and sent with the case. All of which add additional time in the laboratory and in the operatory making those adjustments.
Solution: iTero's software function measures and charts occlusal reduction eliminating the laboratory receiving less than adequate reduction for the restoration being fabricated.

Fact Three:
Prescription information received is believed to be adequate.
- Inadequate information is received on 40% of all cases creating the need to contact the office for clarification.
Solution: iTero's electronic prescription eliminates the need for additional information due to its forced data entry software.

Fact
Four:
Abraded stone working dies are the #2 reason for poor fitting restorations
and remakes. The #1 reason for poor fitting restoration is Fact One.
- Additional stone dies are poured from the same impression for backup. Dies are also duplicated and used to check margins of the finished restorations due to abrasion of the working set.
Solution: iTero models have no abrasion due to the hard polyurethane material in which the models and dies are milled from.

Fact Five:
Dentists believe that taking multiple impressions improves the outcome.
