Cerec InLab Design and Milling System

Ragle Lab announces its acquisition of the Cerec InLab design and milling system. What is Cerec and what does this mean for you? Cerec was developed by Sirona Dental Systems formerly known as Seimans Dental some 20 years ago. Cerec restorations are designed by computer software and milled by computer driver milling burs. Earlier units were very limited in their applications but today with Cerec InLab the current materials available allow many of today’s all-ceramic restorations to be designed and milled with InLab.

So what does all this mean to you? At last a system versatile enough to meet every clients needs restoratively and economically and precise enough to be offered to you by Ragle Dental Lab.

Versatile— high-end all-ceramic with choices from Vident’s vast array of CAD restorative materials to the new e.max line from Ivoclar.

Affordable— Ragle Dental Lab can now provide our clients with a “menu” of products ranging from a lower cost restoration to a high-end custom restoration all with the same exact fit but detailed to you and your patient’s esthetic needs.

The esthetic and financial expectation of today’s dental patient varies greatly. You now will be able to meet those expectations by offering your patient a choice when needed from a minimal anatomical shaded restoration to a custom color layered hand finished restoration, again with all the same exact fit.

How is this possible? In the past (and we do mean past since CAD is the future) we could not ask our technicians to build and finish ceramics at different levels, think how confusing that would be and how inconsistent the end product would be. But CAD milling is done by a machine, therefore different designs can become a consistent or standard output.

Of course traditional PFM’s and full cast crowns are always available and will continue to be as long as there are requests and needs. Will metal be replaced over time? Your guess is as good as ours, but you can be assured that CAD is here to stay and will continue to grow as new materials are developed. Welcome to the future, we are truly excited to be a part of it and equally excited in offering it up to you!

Induction Casting

At Ragle Dental Laboratory Inc we have gone through many changes and updates in technology. Specifically the equipment we use to create the quality restorations you receive from us. Looking at the transformation that took place pertaining to casting, we began many years ago with a manual process using the equipment in the picture you see here. Then we upgraded to the next level of technology as seen in this picture. This provided even better assistance because it was no longer manual. Finally we have upgraded again to our most current Induction Casting Heracast iQ from Heraeus Kulzer.

Homogeneous melts…

Heracast iQ—The ultimate induction-heated vacuum pressure casting machine! It's based on a vacuum pressure casting method (the most successful & reliable casting method in dental technology), you can count on dense, high quality casting results. Better results mean better consistency. Heraeus Kulzer specializes in casting equipment and materials. Visit their website for more information.
